Being a NICU physical therapist and getting to watch these beautiful babies grow, thrive and go home with their parents is one of the best things. Parents of full term babies are immediately the primary people in the world that care for all their needs. NICU parents have to learn the most supportive ways to interact with their babies while they are in the hospital. As a Neonatal Therapists I work as part of the NICU team to support parents on this journey and educate on how to support their long term development.
Lets bring awareness to prematurity this month and wear purple on today 11/17.
